Trading or investing without being aware of the scientific research in this field is like driving a car with one eye closed.

It does not tell you about trading or strategies. Instead it presents tens of reviews of research papers.

Each chapter contains a review - what researchers thesis was, if it was confirmed, what were the results and suggestion of trading strategies based on results. There are also information about who wrote the paper, when, and links to full work on line if somebody want to investigate more.

There are three main problems with those reviews.

First is that many of them are about how profits can be made using stock analysts recommendations. For example if one stock have some positive and negative recommendations in the same time than statistically it is worth to short this stock. I am afraid that analysts are only people and they can be globally influenced to some degree. For example after latest crash recommendations may be generally worst than before crash. Or after crash some good practices can be implemented that will change all futures recommendations. So it could be additional risk to market changes.

Second - some of those reviews are quite old or based on old data or based on data only from bullish/bearish trends.

Third is that some trading suggestions could be extremely hard to use, especially for smaller traders.

But all those problems are clearly and many times signalized by author.

As to the usefulness of reviews - all of them should be carefully studied and researched before implemented in real trading, but it is also clearly pointed by author.

Author did a good job by selecting and presenting those research to readers.
