Essential Indicators

List of essential indicators what I think are the most meaningful but the list can be SO different based to  your time frame, style of trading and so on.. As you can see, the list is VERY short but this is the fundamental and you should/could add couple more based to your own style. Maybe the normal development path is that you start with some, fill the chart too occupied and after that start to remove those even up to almost naked and keep only the essentials.

For Day Trader:

• PVDOM, Always on my chart, to see the order depth, fake orders and so on…
• PVFeedDelay, this might sound odd but it is a very good indicator to alert any errors at exchange or data provider (=order handling at exchange ) or network problems.
• Volume (any of those, I use modified VolumeUpDownN, which shows neutral as well).
• CurrentDayOHL,  PriorDayOHLC (although I use my modified version to remove overnight, premarket: PVTimeOHLC)
• Recomendation: PVHighAccelerator  and/or PVPriceAlert to wake up you when there are something interesting going on or certain levels broken… and PVAMA which show trend as well.
• Any delta divergence indicator (bid/ask level traded, those are not standard ones) like PVDeltaDivergence. 

For Swing Trader:

• Momentum/Oscillator (any): like Stochastics, RSI, CCI, ..
• Moving Average (any, two for classic..): like SMA, EMA, … or special one: PVAMA
• CurrentDayOHL, PrevDayOHL, (or Special PV design ones) to show normal max/min and so on..
• Volume (diff version but not so much value of diff color, I think)
• Recommendation: PVPriceAlert to warn if your trend line/upper level/lower level  breaks

For Automated Strategies:

• Same as previous but use (PVOsc and) PVFilter as an oscillator.
• Strength of Trend: ADX
• Hint: Replace any static indicator with PVIndicatorI so you can change that by fly…
• Savers: PVFeedDelay, PVAvgSpread.(short time trades, sort of HFT)

Advanced, after some experience to trading:

• Any delta divergence indicator (bid/ask level traded, those are not standard ones) like PVDeltaDivergence. 
• Support & Resistance: PVSwingZones
• Additional market depth indicator, history (in addition to PVDOM): PVOrderBookOscillator 
• Utimate BarType: PVAdaptiveVTR  Bars scaled automatically based to Volume, Time & Range
• Advanced delta: TMVolumeProfileBATree
